Darcy’s bio says:

At age 24 Darcy Turenne continues to push the envelope in everything she puts her mind to. From being regarded as one of the most progressive female freeride mountain bike athletes in the world, to hosting the globally broadcast television show “The Ride Guide”, to graduating with a university degree in environmental studies, to appearing in the pages of some of the worlds most reputable magazines such as Men’s Journal and Rolling Stone – Darcy approaches life without the notions of limitations or boundaries getting in the way.

Darcy’s passion for mountain biking started at age 14. As a teenager growing up on Vancouver Island, Canada, she honed her skills and soon made her way on the to Canadian National Downhill team. After several years of downhill racing she switched over to freeride and began expressing herself as a rider and personality in as many media outlets as possible and using her athletic talents to further exercise her other loves such as writing and television production.

Her name quickly spread around the action sports world and she acquired sponsorships and media attention from some of the largest action sports companies in the business, such as Oakley. Despite her global media reach, Darcy regularly makes time for her community through coaching and motivational speaking in schools.

Currently Darcy resides on Vancouver Island and when she is not traveling, spends most of her time skiing, surfing, writing, playing music, and wandering around the forest with her family and friends.
