Sea Otter Downhill: Tracy Moseley just keeps on winning!

It was a short and dusty course in this year’s Sea Otter Downhill Classic, which made for some very tight times in both the men’s and women’s fields. Tracy Moseley managed to win it by just 0.6 of a second over yesterday’s 4x champ Melissa Buhl (US), in a time of 2:21.6.

Kathy Pruitt finished third, with Claire Buchar keeping up her improved speed for 2009 with a fourth place. Lisa Myklak rounded out the top 5.

If she’s not too jet-lagged from all the travel, Tracy must be stoked on her winning streak: Sea Otter is her fifth big win for ‘09 after taking out the two first rounds of the Maxxis Cup, the South African National and the first World Cup. Her new Trek Session88 is certainly proving to be a great race bike. But how long will her winning streak last? The season’s still just beginning and with Tracy managing to make it to more top races than most other riders, it will be interesting to see how her season unfolds.
