Tracy Moseley has taken the win at the last round of the 2009 Downhill World Cup in Schladming. She has had a rocky season after an initial golden start, so this win is a great finish to 2009 for Tracy after her silver in Canberra for World Champs. Sabrina Jonnier has won the series overall on points, but only managed a fourth place today. Fastest qualifier Floriane Pugin came second, adding another Schladming silver to her medal from last year’s final. Third place was Celine Gros, and Mio Suemasa rounded out the podium in fifth.

There wasn’t too much drama despite the steep and technical course, although newly-crowned World Champ Emmeline Ragot made a big mistake in the second half that cost her a lot of time. It also cost her the second place overall in the rankings – after finishing back in seventh for this round, she ends the 2009 season just 20 points behind Tracy. Still, 2009 is her best season so far and she still has that lovely rainbow jersey.
