Women’s Downhill Camp in Slovenia with Lene Fruhwirth

There’s a DH skills camp coming up that would be well worth travelling to if you’re an EU-based rider. We hit up star skills coach Lene Fruhwirth for all the details:

The team from Alptrails and Helene Fruhwirth, a downhill World cup pro, are organizing a women’s downhill camp. Lisa and Klement are the head of this organization and they invited Lene to teach downhill skills to other women. So everyone who is keen, has one or two years downhill experience, and wants to learn how to ride fast over off camber root sections, jump drops doubles, corner faster or get better and has time on the 4-6 of September, should get there. The lifts are running until 7 o’clock each day, so there will be enough time to have fun and improve. And the ladies will be based in a nice biker-friendly four star hotel, close to the track and with a whirl pool. Apart from riding together, learning from each and of course going faster, you might make new friends with the same passion – to ride downhill.

Friday night is the welcome evening for everyone, and on Saturday you ride with Lisa. On Sunday Lene will be there and her eyes and ears are just focused on you to help you to get better. Anyone who wants to stay longer can, because the Park is also open on Monday and Lisa and Lene will still be there too.

So leave your boyfriend at home and let’s ride with chicks!
